Butternut Squash Puree

Ingredients
  • 3 lb./1.4 kg butternut squash, peeled and cut into 1″ cubes (about 5-6 cups)
  • 1 tsp. Simple Indulgence Cinnamon-Vanilla Seasoning Blend
  • 1/4 cup maple syrup
  • 3 Tbsp. unsalted butter
  • salt and pepper, to taste
Instructions
  1. Fill the Tupperware SmartSteamer Water Try with 1 3/4 cups/400 mL water. Place the squash cubes in the Steamer Base. Sprinkle squash with Seasoning Blend, salt and pepper. Cook for 15-20 minutes on High power, or until the squash is tender when pierced with a fork.
  2. Measure maple syrup in a 2-cup Micro Pitcher and add butter. Heat in microwave 1 minute. Stir to melt butter completely and combine.
  3. Place half of the squash in a Quick Chef fitted with the blade attachment. Add half of the maple syrup and butter mixture to squash and mix until squash is very smooth.
  4. Place in a serving container and repeat with remaining squash and butter mixture. Stir to combine; add additional salt and pepper to taste. Serve warm.
